Our Story

It was a cold winter evening in Washington DC. Amidst one of the many brainstorming sessions between two best friends, an interesting problem was identified. Shrivats and Farhan wondered how living in a residential community could be so easy. They could pay their bills, raise complaints with their management, chat with their neighbors and allow their guests entry with one click their mobile phones. Why couldn’t everything be this seamless back home? After several months of studying the market, they were back in India and GateSmart was born.

GateSmart is an all-in-one platform for gated communities and housing societies. We are committed to building the most advanced security and ERP solutions that revolutionize the inner workings of every household in the country. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Kolkata, GateSmart is a startup in the truest sense. Each day, our team works purposefully to create resource with very close attention to detail.

Founded by University of Virginia and Dension University alumni, GateSmart has its headquarters in Kolkata with offices in each of its other markets across the country. GateSmart’s security solutions facilitate thousands of check-ins in residential communities every single day. The Smart ERP adds convenience and creates a digitized living environment for residents, management and all other stakeholders of housing societies.

We understand the importance of data privacy in today’s day and age and strictly follow GDPR guidelines, the global pinnacle standard for data privacy. Our team is constantly innovating on our suite of products and working towards amalgamating cutting-edge features for our clients. Currently, GateSmart Max is under development and will be shortly be ready for CCTV integration across all societies.
